12 June 2025 -

13 December 2024 -

Upcoming piling works for the approach ramp to the pedestrian bridge. Site shutdown dares for the holiday break. For more information, view notification here.


15 November 2024 -

Out of hours work to install the pedestrian bridge girder over the railway line during the ARTC railway line shutdown period. For more information, view notification here and to watch a video timelapse of the process, click here.


17 October 2024 -

Early works to the permanent pedestrian bridge are now complete, with all other main works including piling, pier construction and bridge drop-in to commence. For more information, view notification here.


20 September 2024 -

Interim pedestrian bridge arrangement at Station Street is now open. Early works to prepare the site for the installation of the permanent pedestrian bridge are commencing. For more information, view notification here.


10 August 2024 -

Approval received for new pedestrian bridge over the Southern Highlands Railway Line in Menangle. Upcoming works related to interim access arrangement along Station Street. For more information, view notification here.


14 November 2023 -

Mirvac, along with project partners Benedict Industries and the Halfpenny family, is proposing to deliver a new pedestrian bridge over the Southern Highlands Railway Line in Menangle. For more information and opportunity to comment, view notification here.

 

Key construction milestones

30 May 2025 - Stage 3 civil works completed and registered, with final tree planting and landscaping works to follow.

20 May 2025 - Pedestrian Bridge over the Railway Line structurally completed. We are currently finalising the completion package and are in the process of handing over the asset to Transport for NSW. Once this is complete, the bridge can be opened for use. 

23 December 2024 - Menangle Rd/Station Street Roundabout DA approved by Wollondilly Shire Council. The construction package is currently under assessment by Council, and we’re in the process of preparing a tender package to appoint a contractor.

28 November 2023 – Community Drop-In Session for pedestrian bridge

Thank you to those who attended the Community Drop-In Session we hosted at our sales suite on Tuesday 28 November to provide an overview of the REF submitted as a part of the Menangle Pedestrian Bridge Proposal. It was great to meet the community, answer your questions and listen to your feedback.

28 October 2023 – Official opening of Rotolactor Park

The wider community, families and children came together to celebrate the grand opening with a ribbon cutting and plaque to mark the occasion. The park was officially opened by the Member for Wollondilly, Judy Hannan, Wollondilly Mayor, Matt Gould and Mirvac’s Toby Long, General Manager, Residential Development NSW.

Plenty of free activities including a petting zoo, BBQ, gelato, as well as community amenities were enjoyed by family and friends. Community spirit was in full swing with the Menangle Rural Fire Service, Douglas Park Wilton Netball Club, and Club Menangle joining the festivities.
